Dear Andrew...I spectated all Saturday.I rang Dangerous Dave early to notify him of calamity to at least save you guys any inconvenience. The car trailer which is white & enclosed was parked with the car inside about 30 metres down from the bend in the staging lanes of course on the left side.I worked all today on it running clean oil through it,adjusted valves, cleaned out all the fuel system & rechecked all the valve relief pressures in the fuel injection system.Everything is ok..I thinkthe "DOG"..may have contracted rabies certainly behaved like it !!
The ignition loss was relative to an invertor failure that provides stable voltage to the elctronic ignition. At Warwick
I have two alternatives use "FAT ROD" for ballast or drive it backwards !!! Much homework now on agenda. Will catch up with you at Warwick & many thanks for your interest.

Sorry for the delay in response guys as have been busy doing DOG maintenance from weekend.

Firstly Andrew was near Tamworth people a purple SSA Ford Capri & a two tone green SST Chev-(Reece Glass who was runner up at the Winters). Warwick will certainly fill these social gaps.

Boostn..re....too much power----one can always make it heavier on the nose, its easier to adjust this way than having a shortage of grunt. After the long drive & having nothing left in my own tank at 8.50pm Friday night there was nothing much left to think with.
Launching it at 5,000 to 5,500rpm where it has 260hp was wishful handling thinking for a fresh combo. This what happens when you are knocking on the doors of 60 !!!! ps At Warwick you young blokes don't be afraid of giving the "ole fellow" some tips..
but make sure you keep an eye on "ROCKETMAN" first especially when he is at the canteen.

"Dangerous" Dave,

If you remember from our last few posts on this forum, I enquired if you thought Ross would come through and actually debut Houndog at Willowbank's Blown Alcohol round....................... he fooled me again!

He's now telling me to be at Warwick in early October (rain, hail or shine - but not overcast, or night time apparently). Have you heard the fable about the boy who cried wolf?

Can you give me some guidance on this matter. You've known him a lot longer than me, and I'm totally confused as he's "done my head in".

Also, I've given up trying to but Beta video tapes and have bought a digital camcorder. Hopefully by the time I get to see Houndog race, computers will still be use!

Dave.....I do not know what TOPGUN is on but he was the one who took the Willowbank startline shots...with a camera.
I think the way he rambles on I think he is starting to get dementia..give him a little more time & he will forget how to use
that SLR let alone a movie unit !!!!

Hey Ross, all this chit chat is great, but we want some get down and dirty vw pics. Hell ... even your cool avatar has gone. I'm starting to loose interest in this thread, although I still get a laugh thinking about the pushbike drag race that you two (Dog and Fat Rod) are gonna partake in.....or did you think we had forgotten?:D:D:D
