OK who said in a post ages ago said that a kombi appeared in 'Star Trek IV The Journey Home' :jesus

We stayed up after X-Men to watch it last night only to see one pale blue and white ghia, and a white convertable early in their time in San Francisco; then the roof of a blue beetle as they drove through a car park.

No kombi to take the whales away or whatever (well it would have had to be a bloody big kombi:o)

Well we did stay up to laugh at jokes we'd heard before, and had minimal sleep. Our choice I guess;) *Jen yawns and thinks of sleep*

Hmmm, maybe I was only dreamin:alien

I have thought about it a lot and cant for the life of me think of a movie or movies that have white beetles or other vws in them,

oh wait There is "DUDU", that silly movie about a beetle that does extrordanary things, how absurd.

Hi

My bug was used in an ABC TV series in the early eighties, starred Mike Preston, cant remember the name of the show, it was something with 3 initials.

I like to watch period movies and spot incorrect model VWs.

There were some nice VWs in Good Morning Vietnam.

Forgot to mention, when Burkes Backyard was in Mexico a few years ago there was heaps of street scenes, but no VWs, does he hate real bug as well?

Don't know if this has been mentioned but the beatles movie (the one about the band before they were famous, when they had 5 mimbers) the g/f of one of them drives a Karman Cabriolet.
Also, I know it's not a movie but the current target campaign has a red beetle covered in snow and the billboard has a bunch of girls in a white chop top.

Also the movie 'the mexican' with Julia roberts and Brad Pitt has a new beetle in it, green i think and 'Bring it on' one of the girls in that drives a new beetle.

Also the Bee Gees last film clip features a kombi, have only seen it once but i think it was a splitty.

hmmm now let me think...
'The Hot chick' (rob schneider) has a new beetle cabriolet in it, 'Scary movie' one and two has mk1 Golf cabriolets in it, 'Fear' (alyssa milano, mark wahlberg etc.) also stars a mk1 golf cab, truman show has an old beetle, 'Superstar' has primarily new beetles (they're all green!), 'The cell' (J.Lo, vincent d'onofrio) stars a mk1 cab.

What can I say, I'm obsessed :D
I'm sure there's many more...
