Late Type 3 Front Seat Removal

Does anyone know if late Type 3 seat removal is as per Beetle?

I can see the spring clip like that which is on the Beetle runners. But the seat surely stops when all the way forward.

Thanks Dave. Guess I'll have to grab a torch and look closer. For the life of me I couldn't see the tab.

Hi
When you say late Type3 they had 2 types of seats.
the first one sides forward and out.
the 2nd one ( 72/73) it is the one with the centre leg at the front to get it out you side the seat back then when it stops move it forward a little bit then put your hand under the seat untill you reach the middle of the seat and you will feel the bar that has holes in it that runs from the front towards the back there is a small stopper under this bar and a small bit of spring steel hits push it down towards the floor and side the seat back .

hope this helps and that I have not confused you

Marc

yep when u push the squab forward it might get hidden by the tab on the inside runner.

Use a long blade screwwie to do the job

U may have to wriggle the seat a little as well.
