yes its been done b4 i bet but here we go ,,if i dont sell my 67 i was thinking of using it for an extenshion on my house, some where for freinds to sleep as i have a 1 bedroom hippie shack, could just fit down side of house, and lounge door would be in line with back of van,the front would hang out with the doors in line with house so when you go to the front door the front hangs out,and i can take thedouble doors off and have acess through lounge room wall, hard to explain might have to draw pic,,any coments,,im not stuffing it up just saving as need room in shed and it will be under the varander and rust proofed,,must be better than going o.s,,,,,come on give me some feed back,,,,,,,,,,,:thumb:party

Dude, have you put it in the trading post?? Splits are getting harder and harder to find, and there are a few ppl that want them!!! If its in not to bad state, you should sell it quite quickly...
Would have been good if were a s/c though!!!

Cheers N!

Sounds pretty cool to me. Woulnt be that hard to cover up the bit between the house and the side doors. Be pretty kool sitting in ya Kombie watchin tv in the louge room.

I have always wanted to make the back of an oval into a lounge chair. And the front of an old ford or holden into a barbie.

I saw a splittie in Dubbo that a farmer used as sleeping quarters for his goats! There were about 20 goats in, under and on top of it!

The old Rolex Oyster may be worth more than the Split!

I would get that Rolex valued. I have seen a rolex worth $18,000 and that apparently was an average one. You could probably have heaps of cash then to restore your car. Imagine a car paying for it's own restoration. Cool.

well i got the van in place today, tight fit had to dodge the gas meter, house and posts, had a big maroi mate over to help push, got the hole cut and framed up in the wall as well ,the same size as the double door opening and blacked out the front windows, just have to fill in peices and floor then i can put the bed together, and a two tone paint job to match the house, maybe some furry material 4 the roof inside and its done ,will post pics when finished :)
