Fitting on side of Kadron manifold.

Being the optimist that I am, I'm hoping to finally get my Kadrons running tonight after 4 days of grief. Only one question remains. The manifolds have a fitting just below the plate where the carbs attach which seems to go straight through to the inside. What are these meant to connect to?

I have a balance tube between them. I'm not truly sure it does anything at all, but its far too big to be a vacuum port.

Suprised to hear you have had problems with the kadrons - mine came off of a car that hadnt been driven for 3 years and were covered in oil and crap.

A can of degreaser and a can of carby cleaner later, they worked a treat first time.

You will enjoy them once you have the engine running with them

balance tube to equalise the carbies...........using a piece of fuel rated hose connect both the manifolds together, with the tube running behind the fan housing.

THIS MUST BE CONNECTED.

Sorry, that was the abridged version. Most of the grief has been with getting the motor out, doing some other things (getting the exhaust off was a pain), and putting it back (got the accelerator cable trapped on the first attempt). So far actually putting the kads on has been a breeze.

Thanks for the definitive answers. I should have some suitable hose. Things are looking good for the motor actually running again tonight.
