Looks incredably kool but hard to go round roundabouts or reverse park or normal park, etc etc.................but looks way kool.
Was interested, but bought the flash '60 instead.
Problem: I got probed by Aliens last night...............and I think I like it!.........E.T call ME.

It was just an exercise to see how extreme you can go with narrowing etc. I needed to find out exactly what was involved in doing this work
(shortening steering rods, body clearancing etc).
It was a hell of a lot of work. But I feel the end result is pretty stunning. It certainly turned heads and as I was told when I picked up my trophy
at the show, it really was the talking point.
Like Paul (Resto64) says it`s like saying why bother with a lot of other stuff. Why bother messing about with shitty old Volksies??? Because its fun
and I strive to be different.
If you don`t like it fair enough but I don`t give a toss what other people think. It`s like Dave`s (57kombi) topic in the general chit chat forum
"what is a Rat", I disagree that there is a right or wrong way to build a Rat, there are no rules.
It actually drives really well now I have got the castor angle correct and had the wheel alignment sorted. Roundabouts are no problem, in fact I have
only lost about 1/2-3/4 of a turn lock to lock which is only really noticeable when doing 3 point turns or parking in a tight space.
Positive comments only from now on please!! (joke for those people who don`t get it).
Gra.

Thanks Mattie.
To pay someone to do this sort of suspension work would cost about $1200 I reckon. So with 3 months rego, the visor and the venetian, the car is
pretty much free!!

Mmmm.
Not my idea of a rat but...more of a snail!
Perhaps this is the beginning of something new.
Bug + Snail = SLUG!!!
Of course it would have to retain standard engine to comply!
Thoughts?
Cheers
