im not 100% sure but i think you will have to shave the bell housing a fraction (using dremel or similar) to fit the flywheel in

You will need to grind down the bell housing to enable the flywheel to fit inside - this I know for sure.
I believe that you may have to make other mods to the throw out bearing 'system' but I can't remember.....I will ask my Brother next time I see him
as he has run Type IV engines in his bugs (a '67 and a '65 Baja) for years, and has done the mod for other people too.....
What cooling system are you planning on using?

You need that little bush that goes in the fly wheel and the little tube that the bearring slides out on, most late swingers had them and the stuff
