With an angle grinder!!! :D

No, seriously, I've had my roofliner out for a good look, and it seems as though you have to take the rear-most rib out first. The runners on mine don't extend all the way to the back. I'm not sure whether the frame has to be unbolted first though. :)

Do I have to remove the headliner?, I'm having trouble removing the rear fold of the rag which is attached to the roof.

Alright, so is the frame supposed to be bolted in?, cause mine is held in place by lots(2-300) spotwelds.
I don't think that's stopping me from removing the folding section, but it's gonna be a bitch trying to transfer the frame from the donor section to my car. What a bummer I was hoping to have the ragtop in by next weekend.

I've never actually had mine apart Pat, so I couldn't tell you anything with any certainty. If you're coming to the Classic Camp-Out this weekend, you can take a look at mine, the headliner is still out. Herbie will probably be there as well. He would be worth talking to as I know that he has fitted and removed a Britax sunroof in his Herbie replica #1.

No, I'm not coming to the camp-out, but I think I'll try and get in touch with Herbie, thanks.

OK, so after getting sidetracked for a while, I finally got back to dissassembling the ragtop. I have figured out what my problem is: the person who installed it did not want it removed again. It's spotwelded all the way around.
But I've made some progress, and I just need to detach the rear section of the vinyl roof, and I was wondering if anyone knows how the rear section is held in place?.
On the one I have it looks like it is held there by metal dowels, some glue and some screws. I figure the screws aren't standard as they form lumps under the vinyl along the rear edge.
