73-79 Kombi fuel sender access panel

Just for anyone who needs to access the fuel sender on a Kombi without removing the tank, see the attached photo's.
Location on the deck is ~800mm from the back edge, and in the center left to right.
The sender is ~100mm in diameter. The tricky part is the tank and sender are only ~30mm below the deck, so don't cut too deep!!!
Hoope this helps

when confronted with this problem I went to a wrecker & cut out a section of the floor, larger than the access hole I wanted & screwd that on, therefore having the corrugations.

you bodgy people. Just lower the engine a little and remove the fuel tank cover panel. 6 bolts? Its a once in a lifetime job. not like you need to get in there at every service. Stop cutting precious metal.
