owner unable to sell 60 bug

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/4.JPG

Name: Alex
Suburb: Wishart - southeast Brisbane 4122
car: '60 Beetle 1200 converted to 12V
semaphores: good and working with blinkers
condition: healthy daily driver
cost: $2602 without sound gear. $3002 with (Pioneer DEH-4750 mp3 HU, Alpine 6x9 Type S rear speakers)
rego: 199.HQK expires 04/06
contact: best to leave me a U2U with name and number as I have heaps of classes and best for me to call you back
or SMS me 0417628673

a little history:
I bought this car back in september for my own daily driving. However I have to sell urgently, because something came up and I really urgently need the cash. I'm trying to tell you everything I know about this car

work done back in october 04:
new king and link pins
4 new michelin XZX tyres - 1 used but still plenty tread left used as spare
all lights and horn are good

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/3.JPG

more work done until now:
replaced crankshaft oil seal, oil cooler seals, push rod tubes, engine dust seal, spark plugs, RH rear wheel cylinder, new brake shoes
New Bosch alternator (big $$$ and hard work swapping it!)
new clutch cable and a new tube that goes from the pan to the clutch

stuff added :
carpet kit and seats and interior panels, reverse light, sound system with mp3 i think that's about it

I've spent many hours and 5k total on this car so I believe my asking price is ok. The engine leaks a tiny bit of oil, and the ignition switch is tricky but the engine is healthy the gearbox is good and the brakes are quite new.

Inspections welcome - but please contact me first because I'm trying to be a good student and not wag class :D

RUST

car has some rusts in the usual spots here are some pictures

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R1.JPG
this has to be the newest rust on the bug. gf drove over a large stick and it pierced the fender. don't get angry at me! you did it! :P

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R2.JPG
This is the right rear wheel arch. It looks ok to me
there's rust on the rear bumper mounts too

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R3.JPG
just in front of the right rear wheel, bubbles

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R4.JPG
Right front wheel arch
there was nothing inside the car when I did the carpet back in december

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R5.JPG
Right A pillar - i believe this is quite common?
the right door lower edge is a bit rusty too and it's saggy

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R6.JPG
Left front wheel arch - not as healthy as the other side. my theory is that more puddles on the left side of the road maybe?

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R7.JPG
Left rear wheel arch - again not as good as the other side.
maybe my theory is right! :P

http://members.optusnet.com.au/chuenshun/sell1/R8.JPG
left A pillar. there appears to be no rust on either front heater channels

I hope somebody would be able to take care of her she's been very good to me

any questions or pic requests please ask me!

Following this Beetle was very challenging to keep up with my 71 microbus when we climbed Mt.Cootha in Brisbane together.

Sure, a microbus is heavier than a Beetle ...

but

This Beetle goes like a dream and looks superb. :)
