Some of the photoshopping is good but some is too much of a give-away.

Looks like a beetle / renault / Bugeye sprite with the lights....
Using a VW beam in the front by the look of it.
Kinda funky but can stay in the show room for my liking.

Look like a prototype 3, one of the first protos made in 1935, before the type 30 of 1937, of which all 30 were destroyed after testing.
If thats original that's unreal, if its not, its still unreal.

comissioned

From memory Vw comissioned this to be built in 2001 as all of the other prototypes were distroyed back in the day. They had a hole missing in the evolution of the beetle so they had this build but a coach builder, all they had was a few photos of the original cars. The bonnet screw downs were even reproduced. The paint colour was a total mistry as there was no records of it either and all they had was black and white photos to go on.

Mr Bubble Head got it in one, that's the replica Prototype that now resides in the Wolfsburg Museum, cost VW a clean fortune to get it made. It made a special appearance in March at the Volksworld Show in England.
Looks damn cool with the wheels and pinstripes though, pity there's no kit available... then again maybe it's just as well :D

It;s a VW-built exact-as-possible replica of the prototypes
