New race beetle
I just thought I would post a picture of my race beetle (actually my old mans, he just lets me use and abuse it). I just got into beetle racing
(hillclimbs) recently after a few years on the side lines, and many years competing on dirt.
To tell you the truth I had never driven a VW until my dad let me drive this one only a couple of months ago and to be honest I never really liked
them (Grr I hear you say), until now.
Its a 68 IRS beetle (semi auto) 3J Improved Production
1916 Pobjoy
44 IDF's
Big exhaust
C/R box/ LSD
And thats about all the mods I know apart from................... It hammers..
I heard there was this dude called Craig Torrens racing hillclimb that everybodys been trying to catch, so I thought, if you can't beat him then
bloddy well join him. :thumb
Hopefully the attachment works

Yes Tony's old car with a couple of mods like a roll cage and log book and a couple of nuts and bolts fastened up (Thats about all the mods).
May be at the end of the year a new head, gezz I forgot, heads and a few more spark plugs. It might also get a coat of paint if its lucky.
