Well there you have it, the theory behind it is reasonable but in practice it's nothing to get too concerned about as far as performance is concerned, so it all comes down to noise and looks and to me economics/durability.

So, is there any dyno info available on the "loss of power" from cannons just wondering as i have had both systems and didn't notice ant difference and the better departure angle would overide a very slight drop (if any ) in power output, my 2C anyways :dork:

I think its just the fact that the cannons are louder and sound like your reving the car out more, gives the effect that its not performing as well.

I still preffer the 4 into one, because i like the sound of the weber over the tractor noise of the canons.

But i don't think they effect your performance to much.

Yeah, I like my cannons for all of the reasons that have already been mentioned, but I would also be interested to know by how much power they were loosing. Then again, thinking of how the hell I would get a 4 into 1 around my bar work, maybe I'm better off not knowing.

As for noise, well that's really only when your sticking the boot in. On my last trip to Fraser my daughter fell asleep while I was driving on the highway. The nosie doesn't bother me too much. The only time that I worry is when I get the buggy out of the garage a 6AM in the moring, and when I do that I do it quickly and I let him warm up down the street.

That's certainly very pretty but doesn't it get in the way when you're messing around with the engine? I mean the carb and the distributor is straight behind it or is it easy to dismantle?

u can undo the springs and the muffler and spark arrestor bit come off the top of the headers i beleive barry./

True the top section of the exhaust does come off but it's such a tight fit that it's not even worth trying.

The exhaust is quite easy to work around anyway, everything is still quite accessible, you just have to make sure that it has cooled down first.

I love that last remark as I've still got scars up my arms from our old Range Rover trying to disconnect the starter motor after it wouldn't stop running. It's positioned right underneath the headers so I know what you mean:thumb
