All Motor Rules Update
Exact details are unclear, but it seems that ANDRA has approved the use of aftermarket heads & cases in All Motor.
Also the capacity limit has been lifted.
This opens the door for all those newer aluminium cases &
heads like Street & Comp Eliminators.
Because it will remain a Dial-Your-Own bracket, for a while atleast, more guys can now run....as long as their car weighs
1750lbs or more.
That record is there for the Volksies!

G'day Dave
I thought the record was held by Pagey in Rod's bug!
If it isn't, what type of car holds the record and what time?
Cheers Craig |

Yes, Craig the record ET is Pagey's but not the MPH.
What I meant was that the rule changes benefit VWs
more than ever, so there will be no excuses if a Honda, or gemini gets it as could have been the case at the compac attack if those blokes had met
their requirements. I think both cars ran 12.1s @ 110, pagey ran 12.25 @ legal weight.

I havn't confirmed this info yet because of how crappy the ANDRA web site is, but I believe it to be true.

Would a suby motor be included in that aftermarket block exception?

Is this a class for streetcars, or can any type of vehicle run as long as they meet the weight regs? |

My understanding is that any type of street or race car could
run as long as it met the weight and saftey requirements
for the times that it runs.
As for Subaru engines and other combos, I cant answer that
because the details on Andra's site are too hard to find.
Ray Box, who runs the Jamboree, (and is on the Andra NCC
for the sport compact part) told me about the blocks and
heads rule change but I cant find the rule change any where
else...so I am waiting for him to confirm it for me.
If the rule is true,I think that we could just about over run
that Class with Volksies this year. Hopefully one of us can
take that record back!
The more Volksies that turn up, the better chance we have
of getting one in the final too.
I will keep every one posted.

Jeez Dave
If you can run the Pauter in a 1750lb car, the record would surely have to be 11.6's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't it?!!!!
Now Ricer could get near that! |

Aftermarket Cases & Heads Confirmed
Yes, thats right! As of the first of September This year.
As for type fours, Ray Box will confirm with Andra, but he
thinks if it is air cooled it will be OK.
Subaru? He said he will check with Andra, but I would
guess that because it is water cooled it would have to
weigh 1900lbs.Do they make any power normally aspirated?
The heads rule will make some current racers with "street eliminators" legal on Sept. 1.

Umm, my subaru is 165hp at the flywheel from the factory. And that's 2.5l and totally understressed. So I am guessing with, big throttle bodies, some
cranky cams and an ECU upgrade, it should push 200 at the wheels with no real issues.

Hi Pete Wood,
The majority of VW engines in all motor only make about 150 to 180 hp any way so your 165 should be competitive except that your
car will have to weigh 1900lbs.
What car is it running in now?
Currently All Motor is a bracket racing class, so even if it only runs 16s, you can still win. What does your car
run on the quarter now?
Regards DB.
