help with engine


HI everyone,

I need help to decide what engine to use in a baja.
Any suggestions??
I also need heaps of help/info on baja themselves because i would have no idea how to convert a bug 2 one. If anyone can give info would be much appreciated thanks

It all depends on what you are really after. every one wants the best for their buget, but you need to find out what yours is. A 1600 Twin port is a very good motor for a baja cause it's cheap and not that much work. But a 500hp quad cam racing motor would be better if you had the money to spend. Take in what Seagull has said and have a good look about and see what will suit you and not whats cool and sounds good as it better to be driving your baja then saving up to get it done and on the road.

I think you would be better off buying a Baja that is already finished. It's usually much cheaper to do it this way. As for the engine, I agree with Moose, it's hard to beat the 1600 twin port for bang for your buck.

yea but i really want the experiance of creating a baja myself.
i also understand there are a couple of different looks 2 bajas.
But the type of baja i like the best is the look of Baja Wes's.
Thats the sort of design i like so info on this would be muchly
appreciated. Thanks
