General questions EJ20T

I have several questions regarding a Ej20T convesrion.

1. Why are some EJ20T conversions moving their transmission forward 2"?

2. If people are getting JDM EJ20T engines where are they getting the electrical fitting for the engine?

3. Is everyone using and aftermarket engine management system?

4. Does anyone have dimension on a EJ20T L, W, H, and from the center of the crank to the top of intercooler or bottom of oil pan?

Sorry for all the questions. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi flat_iv, Q1 Weight transfer more over wheels (better balance due to motor being a little heavier) Q2 Iva from half cuts or wiring looms supplied from after market Computers. Q3 Most of us are to get more optium performance. Q4 To answer this ques. if putting in early beetle you will need to do some cutting even moving motor forward 2inch.For late model beetle check Jak Rizzos late model road going EJ20t version beelte on this forum, this will give more insight of whats needed.JVLRacing
