non vw seats in a beetle
I have the opportunity to purchase some seats that were not originally from a beetle but apparently came out of one.
Went for a look and there are no slide rails at the bottom. Can you bolt seats from something else to the frame from the base of a standard beetle
seat and use it that way?
If anyone has done it any hints, tips or measurement limits would be great.
Thanks.
Arthur.

Anything can be made to fit with time and money. I put some honda seats in my bug, just cut down the old bases and welded some flat on, used some
washes to get the seat level. If they cam out of a bug they should be narrow enough to fit. Also get a blue plate for them, for ur insurance. |

Latemodel silvia seats fit ok too my bro got a set for $350 recently.... just weld a couple of bars across some beetle seat rails and bolt them in.
I dont know of any decent beetles which are still running vw seats.
It is easy to fit others in so long as the bottom of the seat rails on
the new seats is flat and not staggered.
Everyone needs something to belive in !
I belive i shall have a beer !
