KdF WERKS EARLY BAY FOR SALE!!!!!! SOLD SOLD SOLD
The time has come to say good bye to my bay. It's gotta go to make room for a new bus. I'd love to keep it because good solid, original early bays
are a rare thing, but I can't keep everything.
Seller; Jeremy Fish
Location; Hobart Tasmania 7011
Description; 1969 bay window kombi.
It's got a brand new 1600 twin port motor
Powder coated tin ware
Twin Kadron carbs
009 distributor
Genie extractors
Custom made stainless exhaust
Rebuilt brakes all round- new wheel cylinders, shoes, bearings etc..
Custom Bugs and Busses (CBB) adjustable front beam with adjustable bump stops.
Lowered rear suspension.
Cobra Classic bucket seats
VDO tachometer
New interior panels and carpet
Creative engineering jail bar kit
Full length roof rack
All brand new genuine Volkswagen window rubbers all round.
Opening quarter vent kit- also genuine Volkswagen.
Stainless steel vent shades
Brand new U.S. spec all red genuine Hella tail-lights
Stainless mesh headlight protectors
New front indicators
Deluxe glove box lid
The paintwork is still the original Volkswagen paint (cream)
It still has the writing on the door under the sliding door handle to tell you how to open it!!
Obviously the sign writing will be removed!
The body has a few little dents and marks that come from 36 years of use and a couple of very small minor rust holes (one in the dog leg and one in
front wheel arch- like I said minor)
The underneath is perfect.
As Dave would say "I'm being totally honest" This is not a perfect bus by any stretch of the imagination but it is a damn good solid and reliable
van (handles like a dream) that looks quite presentable and turns heads.
It will not be sold with the Flat4 Sprintstar alloys. But it will come with a good set of Mangels (356 style) and "as new" tyres. If the buyer does
want the Sprintstars this can be negotiated.....
Can't think of much else at the moment
Oh yeah price! $7500

Hmmm I'm wondering too. I haven't advertised anywhere else yet. I thought I'd give people on here the first crack at it. But I will be advertising
locally very soon. I also have a few locals interested, so I'll be letting them know it's for sale.
I had one guy follow me for half an hour and then try to swap me for his late model subaru!!! Nutta.

It's a late 70's case, which was rebuilt by Peter Murfett on the north west coast. He's the best engine builder in Tas.
It's supposedly stock but goes quite well for a "stock" 1600.

How about a swap ???
Yes I know it isnt a VW, but has a factory fitted 13B turbo....and VW do own the rights to the rotary engine. so it is a second cousin or something
