another quick fang, but it didnt quite go to plan
bit oif a party on sat night so woke up a bit late and a bit hazy sun morning. still it looked ok weather wise - for a change, so after some brunch
and a couple of codenes, thought i would fit in some dune and beach work.
anyway out to the beach and drop tyres to 4psi. dunes, exploring, fanging on beach, all ok.
didnt have to take the 4wd track around the bottom as i flew up and over the big dune to the old track around the headland.
creek is flooded to get back onto the beach. usually is all long shallow hard sand with a couple of deeper cannel bits.
we have had a lot of rain so i was ready for it to be deepoer than usual... but still passable.
the long shallow bits were ok, as was one channel bit but the other was quite deep and it submarines, the nose goes right under, a wave broke into the
windscreen and as the buggy got through the bottom of it, it dunks the entire motor under water. unfortunatly the motor was under a bit too long.
picture shows it 1/2 way out....
lucky i've kept the long intake snorkel so it didnt suck water but electrics die and buggy is anchored almost out but now dead.
waited for a bit and 8 guys i knew on dirtbikes come by and drag it out on the rope.
dryed the electrics out but battery was dead from trying to drive it out on starter motor when i first got stuck.
waited for a bit and waddyaknow, my next door neibour turns up in his landcreiser. we skull drag it in reverse (thats the way it was pointing..) for
about 50m and she fires..
limp home in torrential rain. gotta do engin and trans oil now, as all milky.
anyway, its all good fun - got to remember that if i'm going to go off my myslef and get stuck, do it when theres other people around to help out
when i've bitten off more than i can chew....
what dosent kill you makes you stronger...

Oh well, must have been a pain in the neck, but aleast ur buggy is now okay.
Would have been an interesting experience actually, and yeah, i agree, it would be far better to go out with someone else, just incase u do get stuck.
I have seen alot of situations through the internet where people in buggies have got them selves into nasty situations, and if there weren't any of
their mates around to help em', their buggies would be long gone.

The problem i face is when ever my mate and i get stuck no one can get there to pull us out due to were on some track that is way off the main track
and or trying out our skills as a mountin goat. the way i see water is if u can see the bottom its usually all good mind you have been caught out, and
dirty water if you drop in and the the bonet goes under try another part of the creek or if in doubt flat out
You only need two tools
Wd40 if it don't move and it should
Duct tape if it move's and it shouldn't
