What size motor do you have pushing those big wheels along? What size tyres on the back?

its only a 1600 single port. which leaves pretty high gearing for a stock engine but it can still pull up hills ok. they are 31 inch by 10. r15
but i have another box in a spare car that might be going in soon as this box is making some nasty noises and i beleive its a 1200 box so that should
reduce the gearing a bit till i do a kombi box conversion.
if it looks like a while before i get a new engine and box in i will get smaller tyres when the tread on these goes. (not too long)

Thought they looked like 10R's.I had some on a Beetle years ago as well, with a 1600TP and it used to struggle a bit,but used to surprise me where I
could get it. Later on I put the wheels and motor into a Split Kombi.I used a trans from the last swing axle Type3,flipped the crown wheel, and fitted
the reduction boxes back on. I reckon the Van had the best gearing then for all conditions-it pulled well at low speeds and was a good cruiser on the
open road.I always thought that one day I would like to put that combo into a Beetle for bush work.I will have to live to about 150 to get everything
done that I would like.Check out my old bush pig.

Half right helter-was a Yammi 360,but can't remember what the letters were. They were the quickest thing around back then. That pic is taken up from
Wilcannia on the Darling. We used the Yammi to drive the pigs out of the lignum to save having to chase them on foot.Think it was about 1975-reckon
the bike was about 3 years old then-too many things have happened since then to be totally accurate.Later on I put a spot light swivel on the roof of
the Pig and cut the front screen rubber around the top, made some clips up to hold it at the top with PK screws, and used to pull the screen out all
together and lay it on the back seat when we got to our shooting spots- I could then work the spot while my mate could shoot out the front screen
opening.Used to lay a bag across the fuel tank and fill the front up with rabbits or foxes..It was a good shooting rig,ran fairly quiet and used to
idle so smooth-no rocking to put the shooter off.Used to have a good market back then for rabbits and fox skins.
