T4 2ltr crank

Does anyone know if a 74 or 78mm crankshaft is available for T4 2ltr?
Would be good for some more torque.

There is a set-up called the "powerstroke" made specifically for torque and uses a 78mm crank. This dude sells it, Jake Raby in the U.S.
http://www.aircooledtechnology.com  he can be found on shoptalkforums too.

hehe

http://www.aircooled.net/new-bin/viewproductdetail.php?keyword2=ECR0011&cartid= has some type 4 forged strokers for US$450... not a bad deal considering you can get it with type 1 rod journals and up to 82mm stroke

I would recommend buying direct from DMS. My T4 78.4MM with T1 rod journals cost $375 and $50 surface shipping (takes forever to get here though).

I'd research the duty/customs etc. because everytime I try to save a dime by using USPS surface shipping I always get hit with 17% duty, but when I get anything through DHL or UPS (with them acting as a broker) I get 3% "classic car" duty. Maybe you have to get DMS to declare the package as for a '66ish beetle, and also maybe quote the actual duty code. I even thought that surface packages were exempt if under $1000AU but everything I've gotten over around $250AU has been taxed and had duty stamped on (including the *^%*&^ $50 customs fees.
