Theres a place here in Sydney that makes door boards for all vehicles.... I got some for my Beetle for $25.00 a set there realy good n cheap... better than stuffing around n making them yrself...

but 3 mm MDF would be good to use.

Door Panels

Dave
where are they from, and did you have to supply templates for your year bug? (I have an oval)
What were the panels made from that were supplied to you?

the place is called Polyweld Trims at Roselands, 12 Springfield Ave

Phone 02-9758-0541 or 9703-3070 or o413-739-667

Not you dont have to supply a pattern... you can get the boards with or without the extra trim that goes around the outside of the vinal make sure you tell them that and where you want the holes or dont want holes.

I didnt want holes for the door handles so they didnt cut them.

The material was like origional VW stuff.

Door Panels

:thumb Thanks,
will keep that in mind. Hope to start getting stuff done on the Bug again very soon. I was looking at making them myself out of masonite or similar, but if I can get them made for around that price, I'm happy to let them do it.
Cheers

Trimmers in Melbourne

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced trimmer in Melbourne?

I really want to replace my crappy old door panels/ handles/ etc, as well as the flooring and seats in my bug.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Greg

door panels...

not trying to plug the business...

BUT... i got a set of door panels (2 front door panels) for a 72 & 69, and they were $45a pair, + p&H...
they came trimmed in black, and a pouch on one of them...
holes were cut out in the wood for the winders and the door handles... but not in the material.
give it a shot... were a great buy :thumb

sorry my bad...
i completely forgot to put the company name,...

It's MICKS MOTORS - give him a call.. if he still has them in stock. they are complete panels - no clips, handles, winders or anything though, but a good base to start from.
