Check with your insurance company BEFORE you purchase wheels... i assumed that it was 2 inches taller and one inch wider... but RACV told me no.... cannot go ANY bigger in height or width if we want to remain insured with them!!! so it would have to stay 16x7.5. pfffft!! yeah right... so we are gonna go with shannons (already rang them to discuss wheel sizes etc) when we get the wheels. 7.5 wide with the standard offset will leave clearance on the front shocks... we were told by carshine that he has put 9inch wide on beetles but they have a different offset to allow the width.... DONT wanna go that wide so never followed it up.
