reversing light

i recently purchased a reversing light. (thanks bus914)
i want to replace the lense with a red coloured one so that i can mount it and use it as a third brake light.

does anyone have a red lense for sale or know where i can get one?

what about a reflector. can i purchase a new or repro one?

Kim

If you can't find a red lense to fit you could always go to one of those plastic- fixing joints that re-colour sun-faded brake and indicator lights and get them to colour the clear one red.

That would get you out of trouble I think.

You can buy red coloured see thru paint at model shops its not very expensive and not hard to put on a small surface... You can also obtain a red epoxy type for fixing cracked lenses etc.. but it is rather expensive... try the hobby paint first... put a few coats on the INSIDE... and it should work and look OK.. the other tricky thing You could do, is leave the lens clear but paint the bulb with the clear red hobby paint! -- Tamiya acrylic paint clear red..:o:thumb:bounce
