Just how interchangeable are Beetle parts???? all size engines to a pre-1968 Kombi gear box with the lowered gears & then onto an Oval Chassis???

all the vw engines 1100 to 1600 will fit you just have to match the pressure plate to the throw out bearing and you might have to vlearnave the bellhousing if fitting a 12 volt flywheel

Cheers! Marcel

I think another concern is...How likely is a Gearbox to be siezed if it's been sitting in a Wreaking yard for years????
Is this a common Problem with these gearboxes or were they built to last????? provided it has oil inside & no water has found it's way in....will the seals need to be replaced??
Thanks
