OFF with his Shell!!!!!
hello everybody,
well, this is kinda a tech question, but more for future reference than anything....
I took my first shell off a beetle today, and now it feels like my project is really starting.... .... my question is this though....
Ive got a 74 L bug, and i was having a shit load of trouble with the steering box.... it didnt want to budge!!!, we finally disconnected the rods off
it, but i was thinking, there must be an easier way??? did i miss something??
anyway, im just happy that the shell is off and im starting to work on the engine this week... Hopefully, so im sure ill have a shit load of Q's
for all u experianced people out there....
so if there are any tips for anything, that would be great
ok, ciao for now

Go the 74L Supers!
Another on for the road!
Hey Con
What are you going to do - stock, slammed etc etc
You obviously found all the bolts - there are a couple that hide.
No - that steering box is a bitch to get out!
Futue te ipsum!!!

tell me bout it.....
well, i think i find comfort in the fact that i didnt miss anything obvious with the steering box, and that it is a real pain!!!
what am i doing??
well, just going stock really.... few liittle extras, but nothing with the engine.... gonna rebuild it from scratch though.... (pistons cams/shats,
etc etc....) and maybe find a slightly bigger carbi.... but thats all
