Oval doors

Waiting for the more VW aware folk to correct me, but I think that the quarter windows are larger in the oval doors, than the later models. Anyone? I think this because I have a few quarter windows in the garage, and they are a different size to some others that I almost bought at a swap meet.
Not sure when the scallop behind the door handle changed, or the passenger door got a key lock in it either. The door handle on the early hinged where they met the skin rather than had a press button or lever for opening them.
Mind numb......... must drink.........mmmmmmmmm Beeerrrr:beer

Dave will give us the Good Oil but in the mean time...
The Oval Doors have a different width panel below the glass on the inside of the door.
Mine are not original.

53/54 Oval doors are different from all other Ovals. They had a larger interior door panel and the door latching was different too.
55 to 59 doors are pretty much all the same. They all had the pull out door handles. Push button door handles from 1960. These had two mounting points so the door had two holes were the handle attached.
As far as I know the door windows were the same size from early oval to about 63
