Panel beater in Wollongong/Sydney

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a panel beater/smash repairer located in the Wollongong or Sydney area that specialises in VW's (specifically beetles)?

Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks in advance :)

Hello mate, K&D smash unanderra 10min south of the gong- they have done a heap of beetle/kombi restos. They do a lot of paint & panel for Wayne Penrose.
Also Raw auto werks Campbelltown POLAK's number can be loated on this site.
Hope this helps.

On that

Does any1 know roughly how much it would be to get a bug sprayed by a professional if i get the panelwork as close as i can get it, and the pro to finish the panelwork off ?

Last time i got my uncle a ex-panelbeater to spray one, but it was in the garage so not the best

thnx

Might just hire a booth and get sum1 i kno to do it
I'd prefer to give them sum money and spend the rest of 5k on interior and other things like lowering it and bumpers...

Jeremy,

looks like your at a similar stage to me I have ordered some wheels from /rod Penrose and will then get the RAW guys to install drop spindles to lower my bug. I will then get the carpet, seats etc upholstered.

Planning on a professional respray in a few years time. It depends what type of finish you want You dont get anything for nothing in this world, a good spray job requires a lot of work but in the end it all comes down to personal choice. For me I will do all the mechanicals etc and just enjoy the bug then in a few years do a respray with the help from the guys at RAW.

Even if you give Adam a call to discuss or pay them a visit you will be impressed in the work they do.

Yeah I live round the crner from Rod, and I go to his brother Wayne wen there is anything I can't fix myself.

Unfortunatly th bug I'm doin was off the road for a while due to rust, so in my case I'll have to do paint first and register it befor I really look at much else. I wanna get this one done to become my daily driver then I'll sell the blue vert that I have.

Yea I'm not sure which way I really wannaofo, I want to paint it two tone, black with red sides, but I was thinking if I cant get the panel work perfect it will look shit so my next option was satin black and a flat red or Red with cream side or sumthin along those line. Ima student so I don't have the money to really pay too much for a panelbeater.

Most of the work I got done on my other bug I got done for next to nuthing cause my dad knows ppl and could work out trades at his work. Except the convertible top by Karen at Wayne penrose vw's.
