Answer-vehicle Weight

Every now and and then ppl ask about vehicle weight. Well yesterday i was able to weigh both of my cars. This was done at the scales at Willowbank drag strip, so for future knowledge

74L Bug-included- Full body, rear sway bar, full interior (including carpets and std sound deadening), cobra drivers seat, crx passenger seat, std rear seat, spare tire, full tank of fuel, twin dell 1776 engine, 5.5 inch with semi slick fronts, std weight rears, NO bumpers or brackets. Including driver 2101 lb = 952 kg , without driver(95kg) =857kg

78 4 door Gls golf, 1988 Gti fuel injected motor, 4 speed CR box, koni sport front suspension, Jamex rear coilovers, full tank of fuel, std interior (late dash etc), spare tire and no driver 1950 lb = 884 kg

I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
Go hard or go home!!!!
