we have a spare roof, so we are going to chop that one and weld it in, totally gut the interior and get it cleaned up.

I especially like the gas bottle mount. How about putting the spare on the other side and go Baja.

never seen one of those roofs on such an early model. i had one on a late split (65?) as does a guy in Tassie, believe the fibreglass roofs were made
in melbourne somewhere. also interesting to see it is a micro, mine was a panel and my gas bottle had a prupose built roofrack. looks to be in
pretty good shape overall.

I wouldn't be too quick to chuck the roof. Be worth finding out who made them and when the conversion was done. It looks almost as good as the
factory hightop...almost I say. Certainly different to you average bear, and I usually hate pop tops.

I'm with 77bay too, love the gas bottle mount, but don't go baja!

Marty has already saved about 6 splitties, one is in the paintshop getting built to original, the next he is working on to get it a nice and low
cruiser and then there is the camper. We need parts to help get these other projects rolling along.
