why is everyone being such sh!ts lately on this forumn, it usual to get a few mean/blunt comments but its comming WAY too comon now !
What is with that and why, do all those boys need a good (place own word here) to drop the stress levels ?!?!?!
it kinda makes the ppl watching and waiting to join this forumn not want to join, we are kinda screwing it up for any newbies. and they might bring realy cool parts with them for sale - at what ever price they ask.
ANYWAY CANT WE ALL JUST CHILL OUT A BIT MORE PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the mods need to be a little more strict on the comments being made. It is one thing to have an opinion, but to voice it in a rude manner is another..

Maybe we need a "Monty Python" style arguments forum.

"Hello, is this the right room for an argument ?"

"I've told you once"

"No you haven't"

"Yes I have"

Where is your sence of adventure Andrew?
I think its just a phase the forum is goin through.
Most people only do it to get a reaction.
And if they dont get one........ it tends to annoy them..
So just dont FEED the fire.

So fix it.

Busted? wtf does that mean? Maybe it is a joke that only you got mate, cause I certainly didn't.

Andrew, we did for ages. Yeah, some topics are touchier than others, but people know when they step out of line and should expect to get edited for doing so. This may even be an issue of langauge more than input or opinion, or possibly the way that the opinion was voiced in an offensive manner, etc.

I used to do this 6-7 hours a day sometimes, and now working 55 hours a week, leaves little time to do it.. I thought this was why we had more moderators appointed? Maybe the mods need to be changed over and around and so on.. Appoint new ones? Shit I dunno, I am only a member here now, and far from run the show..

Actually, you have admin rights. You can do anything I can do.

It's been a while since I've seen a moderator do much. Colin has been the most proactive. But then again, if the members are happy, maybe this is about the right level and we should just appoint someone who everyone agrees is really chilled and tells us to chill it from time to time. ;)

Why do people need censoring. If somebody is being an arse, IGNORE them. Open a new section for rants and moans and move any contentious threads there. Then the only people getting heated up will be the ones that want to. Censorship is not an answer to anything.

Yep ignore it and it will go away.

I am going to go and install a CD player in the Beetle, and find the water leak in the back. I want to play veedub and enjoy it.

I think the infectious nature of having a VW is catching. We stared with one now we have two, and Fleurs best friend just bought a 74 'L'

We can all play veedub together now.

high prices

seems most of the shitfights are about what some people deem to be excessive prices on the goods they are selling and the variation they have on some of these goods ,so if a person wants $30,000 for his beetle does that all of a sudden make every ones beetle triple in price or that person a dick head cause hes been checking prices on to many overseas websites ?????????????

It doesn't mean either.

Most people trying to sell something have;
a) some idea of what it's worth, or
b) some idea of how much they want.

Usually it is what the vehicle owes them with a modest profit.

If the price is to high, it won't sell & logically the price comes down.
How many times have you seen a car on ebay not get a bid? Next time the starting price is cheaper.

Having said that, some cars are a money pit & you'll never get it back when selling.
But there's no harm trying, & I certainly don't think it was neccesary to slam the man for trying.

If he puts this kombi on an English site, he'll have his money by the end of the week & we all know it.
I'll be reading yet another post about dwindling numbers.

One way or the other you can't win...

Didn't even realise anything had changed!!!!

Some people want too much money for their cars in oz, so whats new?

Some people like to modify their cars in a way not everyone likes, so what else is new?

Each to his/her own and keep the moderators as far away as possible, there should be no reason that they need to do anything. most of us are civilised people, a bit warped at times but that makes things interesting.

Chill out and enjoy the place

andrew I think you do quite a good job at telling people to chill. As i have been told to before and felt like a redneck bogan.maybe its something that just happens in the car scene.Theres always beef and gossip and he say crap and there will always be lippy newbies and oldschoolers who think they know more. Its in the rod scene its in the muscle car scene its even in the bubble car scene and of course its in the vW scene.its up to you as an individual to ignore the crap. And just produce the best project you can pull off .
