Splitty Prices


Have just read the German magazine VW Speed and they have a recommended price list for Sambas and transporters in Germany.
1.8 million were produced. Prices Oz dollars

Condition 5 - F........... d
Samba $4,600 Trans $900

Condition 4 - just drivable, bits missing
Samba $14,000 Trans $2,700

Condition 3 - Driveable, small repairs required very used
Samba $20,000 Trans $7,000

Condition 2 - Good condition, all parts there
Samba $32,000 Trans $12,000

Condition 1 - Perfect, as new or better
Samba $46,000 Trans $16000

Thought some might be interested i ncomparing prices in other countries.

ALso attached is a 67 Camper built by Wayne Callaway of Corvette tuning fame. drool on.

So going by what they say my old man's 21 window would fit condition 4 description as bits are missing ie-middle seat,small belt line trim piece etc.
So he probably was'nt too far off the mark asking 17k as there ar'nt too many left here in oz to chooze from.

I imagine those prices would be a bit higher because of greater demand in Germany though.

There might be greater demand but there would also be alot more cars, wonder how this balances out.
Or they know the real value of cars
