small bubble's in new paint
I just had my Kombi painted with 2Pac about two months ago, I have just noticed in a couple of places small (3mm) bubble's comming up, it was
quite a wet period (weather) when I had the job done, I rang and told them not to paint it untill the weather improved, they said we will do it in the
booth, and it will be alright.
What sort of things could contribute to this sort of thing, so I have some idea about the cause so they can't bullshit to me that it is not
their fault, what happened to ppl doing a good job.
NOT HAPPY JAN.

as far as I know------ it is humidity bubbles, sometimes it is paint
incompatibility if the shape & size is irregular |

So if they are humidity bubble's, is this just my problem or is it the fault of the painter?

Honestly - I would check with Fair Trading, I got stuck with problems on the bonnet of the Humber after a 4 ton truck backed into it & the panel
beater gave all sorts of reasons why the paint was lifting & splitting, but in the end I needed the damn car & gave up
Fair trading would have to be the go, consider that whatever it looks like now- it is going to look a lot worse in 6 months time |

.TextBlackThis is the result of poor preparation, could be humidity or paint incompatability, also occurs when the car is
not correctly prepsoled, which is a cleaning process/fluid that is the final step prior to painting it removes stuff like residues from handprints
which can leave oils on /in the porous undercoat. I had a similar problem before and the painter rectified, small bubles several months after painting
you c ould see the area of the palm and some fingerpads in the markings.its their problem , but be diplomatic first.

Beat me to it. Be diplomatic. Don't throw the Dept of Fair Trading at them yet. Give them a chance to fix their problem, fairly, and see how you
go from there. Then if this doesn't work....:puke on them.

Thanks for all the advice. I will call the painter and take it for them to have a look at, hopefully it will be resolved amicably with no angst.
I dont know what has happened to all the good tradesman, I used to be a roof plumber for ten years, my brother is still in the job and sometimes he
ask's me to give him a hand, I look at the work that is being done on the site by SOME! others and I just have to bight my tongue, and walk away,
it is truely depressing to see the lack of concern for the eventual owner of the house, if they cant see it, it will do, no worry's, It's
lucky I am out of it now, if I did half of these things I would not be able to live with myself.
I have seen this in the motor trade as well. but I have been lucky enough to have found an honest mechanic that takes pride in his work, and dose a
good job for a fair price.
I hope this painter stands by his work!
