So which story is it?
Is it registered as a replica 37 Ford?
Or an historical Beetle?

If Historical Beetle then how? A convert requires an eng cert - anything requiring an eng cert can't be H registered. We all know the RTA doesn't see the actual car to get H rego it is administered, in trust, by the clubs.

If replica 36/37 Ford... which ASRF Associated club are you in and why does it not sport SR plates? And the "kit" that you spoke of earlier as being replicated, the original isn't 30 years old either.

a replica now go and ask the rat they spent 3 days of my time proving it so vw owners could get some kind of acknolsgement like hot rodders do for having NEWW 34-37 ford rods built from new parts
i know how to do it but i would die before i told any vw people how or what the rta want
you all know the numbers so take it up with the RTA if you win good on ya if ya don't put it up here

The RTA do not look at H plated cars. It is solely a club responsibility.

People with Repro pre-49 cars are eligible for SR registration only if they are members of the ASRF or an affiliated club with SR rego.

To get this rego you have to have to have inspections done during every stage of the build and comply with regulations that are published by DOTARS (Federal) and the RTA (NSW).

For many pre49s it is actually easier to go through the engineers and get full rego as Modified Production.

You CAN NOT run a modified pre49 or reproduction pre49 car on H plates.

H registration is limited to contemporary modifications (and certain safety modifications like juice brakes instead of cable) and cannot include extensive body modification like hacking off roof etc. Even a replica Hebmuller cannot get either H or SR plates in NSW.
