Cheapest one I saw was $50-00 (there not worth much as scrap - too much fiberglass.........

Its a hard one to price - most have been raided for their Okrasa Motors & pretty Petri steering wheels, so a nice one might be worth 4k or 40k - when was the last time one was for sale? actually this is the first time in 10 years I have heard of anyone looking at one......

Guy .... there on my Fantasy list mate....

I know where theres a new one but the guy dont .. wont sell it...

Almost bought one about 20 years ago... Andrew Dodd ended up with it... after it had been through a few hands.
and it was actually the number one car... I think hes sold it of again, after have it for 10 years or so.

I dont think many of them actually had the engine and all the stuff that they were susposed to come with.
heavy suns of bitches though

OK here we go - as far as what they are worth - you have not mentioned whether it is registered or drivable, if not registered then you would have to look at the probability that you would lose money on it if you pay more than $4000. The cars value lies in the fact that it is an important part of Australia's history, & certainly one of the worlds 1st attempts to utilise fibreglass in the construction of a luxury saloon, rather than a lightweight shell fitted over existing mechanicals in the interest of appearence & performance,
the car was heavy because ofthe attention given to crash protection, long term strength & very significant noise reduction, many coupes in spite of their appearence are far heavier than their saloon counterparts, this extra weight was more than compensated for in the engine specifications. the initial batch of 12 were supplied as intended with new VW chassis & Okrasa, & Porsche parts , one of these cars went to America, the purchaser of which offered to buy the whole box & dice & set up production there, this on the apparent rosy future of the car in Australia, was unfortunately knocked back, Volkswagen in Aust then refused to supply any more new parts, enough new parts were sourced in Europe at considerably higher costs to complete another 7 cars two bodies were sold for "kits" & the deposits for 57 orders were returned, a sad end to a brave attempt. the car has twin 36 litre fuel tanks, enough to drive Syd- Melbourne a boot that really is a boot & thanks to better weight distribution very good handling, Sadly I suppose the Okrasa unit would be irreplaceable, but with over 40 years of development it would not be hard to set up a fairly "right" looking 1600 motor which would far exceed the performance of the original at very little cost
??????????????????????????????????????
