Good source of info though, it's just a little hard to find the right piece of info.

Tried to find it once via link onsite here but link was dead and well i got lazy and just couldnt be bothered looking over the web for it, too late when i found it. Finally got an answer today from the nob who supplie the rims on first page 17x7.5 apparently and i am now used to this answer, they dont meet load rating for the caravelle/transporter/van.
What the stuff sake does load rating have to do with it, i mean the caravelle is 1645 or there abouts unladen (minus Family) some standard cars like the Audi and ford Holden etc weigh more than this, yet the load rating is a non item for such vehicles. Rim rating i understand, but really i think load rating is aload of crok. I think i will have to bite the bullet and go and see a tyre mob locally. Its almost becoming more of a mission each time i think i have found a decent set.

How frustrating.

I've been thinking the same thing regarding load ratings.

I think a T3, depending on what model is closer to 1440, but this adds even more weight to your argument. I mean a stock falcon is getting up towards 1700 these days!

Regarding http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/  well worth a look

i put alloy 15' jag rims on my caravelle after i dropped it 6omm [i think] and they need to be lower profile in the front to avoid rubbing. they are 7 inch wide and are the biz! front tyres are 195 60 15's rear are 205 65 15's. its all about preference!!

I think the load rating has to do with how much your car is capable of carrying, not what it weighs unladen. A Falcon can pretty much only carry 4 or 5 passengers and a couple of suitcases, but a bus/van could carry 50 bags of cement for e.g.
