kadron expertise needed
new car, just did valves, plugs, timing etc . sounds nice but is now idling at 1500 looked at the dual kadrons left one will not sit on the idle screw
until a gap of 3mm with carb body, left one adjusts down to nothing (or there abouts) the linkage has a brass nut and a 'locking' washer and
won't budge, the link to throtle has a number of adjustments and is not the cause of the problem.
does this nut at the back have a impact on how closed carb is when idling? can it be adjusted?
does any one know any roads where there is no traffic and no stop signs so i can have a drive?

you need to be able to adjust the length of the cross bar between the carbs.

Its always hard helping people set up duals
There are a 1000 things to set up
Have you balanced the carbs? - this is the FIRST step before anything else.
What size motor?
Are these carbs new? - what size jets?
Go to -
http://www.lowbugget.com/
there are a few help sites there that will answer a few questions.
Not being rude but with duals you have too choices
1) read read read and learn the hard way grass hopper
2) hand over fist fulls of $$$

Have you taken the "bar" off the carb ? this will allow you to set up both carbs seperately. they should close with this bar off. What
usually happens is the bar is too long/short and it holds one carb open!

bar off !
yes , even with the bar off the left carb wont close down so the screw touches the body. that's what the problem is, the left carby throttle off
setting will not adjust down further than 3mm so when i balance the idle setting it's about 1200

Barry, have you changed your name to Jim? :p
my guess would've been something stuck in the stop on the back side of the carb.
My spark plug lead decided to get stuck on the backside throttle stop on my webers one day, made the throttle stick half open. nice adrenalin rush.
