what do you guys think...oval rat.

This is one of my recent purchases...wrote off the idea of using it as the new body for my car due to warping in roof from the fire..Paul (1303) came over and took one look at it and just said "that would make a sick rat"
It could have all sorts of names...inferno, pyro,

When you went in it the pressure reg was playing up. goes heaps harder thats fixed. Got that box fixed and then the clutch started to slip under boost. It has been shitting me for weeks, the kombi is finally done, so the hoist is free for tomorrow for the clutch change. Its sucks when you only beat a 285kw hsv or wrx, when you used to trample them....next week maybe.

Maybe a quick body swap for a while. What wheels...I have porsche pattern?

And the other side..Mat-o-rat!

You cannot see the faded Ratbones I sprayed then sanded on the roof. I am going to put a little ratbones on above the oval...grinded back to bare metal.

I have to make a decision...my car needs a new body. Used it as a guinea pig for the conversion and ideas. It had a body off pan rework before I got it and they put it back on with a rusty heater channel and A pillar.
I have a stratos blue 54 ratchet strapped to garage roof, with both a pillars and heaters channels all but gone. I have new replacement bits from Gearge Farkin at Classic Veedub..just needs welding in and a few other rust repairs finishing off then paint.
Got the burnt one(56 rat) and another 54 that had big rear quater hit, but pretty much rust free, even doors. In attempting to fix hit they have pulled it out too far..and it needs pulling back. Of course that required me to run inside get the plasma cutter and angle grinder::thumb:cool::tu: remove the whole firewall and tray, also cutting off apron up near the oval window.
Then there is disco inferno, been in fire, warped roof..one heater and both a pillars need fixing.

I think....throw rat together and stick on my pan, while I fully tub the one with no back end and pull it square...Drag car.
Do old 54 up and repaint either original stratos blue or chatcoal black , with polar silver non symetrical wide streaks over car. Or a bone hand grabbing the car from behind, like agiant picking it up.
Help me obi-wan kenobi...your my only hope.
Reub the Rat....I like the sound of that.

Boof,
The stratos silver 54, can you take a photo of the colour for me. I was going to paint mine that colour cause it looked great in mags but when I had a sample mixed up it looked like dark blue not silver. Is that car from the states as I think it was a USA only colour.
I am after some 54 replacement panels if your cuttinf one up.
Please let me know.

It is an import 54 only colour. I looked it up trying to find the colour name. I thought cobalt blue was my colour, although I was at steve mullers the other day and he has restored and painted shell on tray table and it looks the same as mine.. Statos silver matallic..he said.

Looks like it...it has a blueish tinge to it when it is in the light. Full import car if original colour...pretty rare.
