Star trek & Ceramic coated muffler..
Did You see the Ceramic coated VW muffler at the Nationals - Richard Holzl had it at His stand, It was like a space ship coating... (not that anything
is wrong with that) (and No, I haven't actually seen a space ship, although I have seen all the Star Treks !!) it was 'unreal' ..
beautiful... had to be seen to be believed.
Better than chrome... :thumb:thumb :o:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce

I don't know the price.
I think I was told it would cost a couple of hundred dollars. |

HPC coating do a great job in silver (almost like chrome) or black (slightly better corrosion resistant).
Complete stock T4 Kombi exhaust (from tail pipe to heater flaps) ~$320 from memory. Done in black and 12 months later still like new.

Competition Coatings just quoted me for $195 to do my S & S extractor system. This includes blasting it and chemically leaning it prior to
coating. |

Hi
I had my turbo header done by Competion Coatings in flat black, it still looks like new and that was in July 2001. Did you see the strut that silver
Richard had on show at the nats? Jak and I were talking the other night and we both want to do the same to our struts and lower control arms.

My new exhaust is about 2 months old and looks 2 years old is it to late to get it coated?
I love that finish but didn't have the cash or the time when I fitted it.
Cheers Nige

The coating I had done on the Kombi was over an old muffler and I guess the original heat exchangers etc.
A few little patches needed but it was a sound exhaust. It was back to bare metal before I sent it in though.
