as neil has said before most of us in perth are doing the conversion ourselves..although last time i went to "the veedub centre" in osborne park
they were saying they do subie conversions for people also.
Might be worth finding out.
"what kinda creator would make a race of people
and make em act a certain way or else He deems 'em evil?
HOW can You give a living being the freedom to breathe
and then lead em into a sea of decievers who greet em, see!"

Just wondering has anyone thought doing an upgrade of sorts say from a newer T4/T5, or they fairly gutless and too many adaptions needed. just
wondering because everyone seems to go for the subie conversion.
Keep the steering and the propulsion seperate . Still a Kombi...
It's all good, until it's bad, i suppose

So hows the conversion coming?... As you may have found, there is nobody commercially doing conversions he in Perth... A few places can do it, but not
may peeps can afford the costs involved.... Its not too tough to do it yourself with the late T3's but doing it to a Bay is a little more
involved.... If your still looking for help, drop me a line, as I've something to do with a few conversions now and Im currently doing 2 for
myself... One is in a T3 (EG33) and another is in an early Notch (EJ25T).... A few mates here in Perth have conversions that you might like to take a
look at....

same question...
I'm in the same boat. I've just bought a 76 camper and would love to find out about the best place/method of converting her. I'm going for less
fuel consumption so ideally it'd be something i could convert to gas or a turbo diesel (i know i'm dreaming). Any ideas? |

Your not dreaming Mark, but the possibilities of getting the conversion done here will limit you.... A few shops can do it (VDub R&S in Freo, Volks
Shop on O'Connor for instance), but most will expect you to have all the info and parts sorted out for them... Otherwise it can become a very
expensive exercise.... With the information that is out there, its not out of the realm of possibility to do it yourself.... That said... not everyone
has the time or the inclination to attempt it.... Thats cool.... As for gas or diesel conversions.... Both are possible and have been done..... What
sort of power/torque are you looking for?.... Off-road ability?.... Highway use?.... Daily driver?.... Or all of the aforementioned?
