Welcome to the Mods forum
Done a cool mod recently?
The sort of mods we're looking for here are:
Lowering your splines
Added a decent accessory
how to do flames
adding blue LEDs for instrument clusters
adding a oil pressure sender
...
This is the place where it'll end up if you do a good job of describing how you did it, with pictures.
Post your mod to the Tech Talk forum with the word [MODS] in the subject. I'll make sure that if they're good enough, they'll get
placed here.
You may also wish to write an article for the magazine on your mod.

how about the easiest way to fit an oil temp sender, ( not a dip stick one) fish

Whats wrong with the dipstick sender other than the look?. I think it's the most accurate i've used. |

oil temp sender
the easiest and best looking temp sender i use is a vdo unit and screws into the sump plate....

a mod
a good mod i feel is good for every high performance nut out ther is a auto meter air/fuel ratio meter. one lean out while showing a hsv what a dub is
all about, and melting a piston can be pretti embarrasing not to mention costly. yeah it may be tuned perfect but what if you get a main jet blocked
and you dont know about it untill its to late. $140 isnt to much...

Wacky Stock Mods
Hey Guys,
Am here in the States working on putting together VW parts in ways the factory never got aroung to. My latest project(almost ready to put out
kit) was to put early Golf CIS(non electronic) on my '73 bus T4 motor. There are already mount points in the chassis for the fuel pump and
accumulator so they were thinking about it, just decided to go with the AFC FI for some reason.
I have heard tell of folks cutting the water jackets off Vanagon engines and building them up w/ up to 105 mm aircooled cylinders and heads and am
terribly curious to hear more. Anyone w/ links or mag #s would be appreciated |

I'd like to hear more about the CIS conversion.
The Vanagon wbx motors when converted to air-cooled are frequently referred to as Oxyboxers; a search on this term will bring up many links,
