Yes there not bad if you dont want chrome. Chrome tends to be a pain in the bum, finding someone who will do a good job.
Contact VVDS at Campsie as they may have some wheels in stock, and or know a place that can do the job for you.

I had a set of wheels widened and then powder coated white.(car is white) If you want chrome you have to get the centre and band chromed seperately
and welded later. It's almost impossiable to get the chrome to look good where their joined otherwise. |

I have mine widened here in Tassie. The fella that does them is a qualified wheel maker. He uses two wheels to make one.He cuts one as far as he can
from the front and the other as far as he can from the back. Then he puts them together with one weld.He gets them to about 6" wide this
way.Aparently you can only have one weld to be legal. He then sandblasts them and gives them three coats of paint before bakeing them in an oven. All
this for arround $100. Here is some on the rear of my bug.

I had my rear wheels widened by Morton & May, Wheel Repairs & Tyres in the El Toro Estate at Warkick Farm Ph 9601 7000. They pulled out the
centres and weilded them into new 6 inch rims. I had to specify the off set so that the wheels with the tyres fitted in under the rear guards without
fouling the top bump stops. I think I payed $120 per wheel unpainted. Powder coating the wheels was an extra $50 each but I knew someone that did a
special ripple finsh powder coat for me.
