Another convert.....

Well it looks like I may have converted my 16 y.o. nephew over to the VW fraternity! :thumb

He was thinking typical Nissan, Subaru etc etc ad nauseum, but I've shown him a few Indian pics, and I've got him blabbing slammed Kombi's big time. He's fallen in to little bit of money of late, so he may have up to $15k to throw into his project.

I'm thinking bay window for him [even though my heart says "get a split, get a split"]. Anyone know of any Kombi's around that either a/ are available and need some work, or b/ are available that have had the kind thing done already??

Squiz.......

well done tell him he won't even think about another type of car except in his nightmares of one of them causing damage to his baby, i know i do he he

you couldn't have picked a better place to show him the meanest looking kombis i've seen, i was living with jaysen from inian and he helped me get into it, well all it took was a look through Kimms beast to convert me then i seen picktures of his sons early type 3 squareback and said i had to have one :bounce a week late i owned a 72 type 3 squareback, its not a early girl but it holds a speacil spot in my heart.
the boys at indian helped me out with it as kimm knew i was just a student and need as much help to get in on the road as possible and within 12 months i was driving it around.
now i just got to do a write up and get the pictures developed and kimm wants to put it up on his site
welcome the young feller over for me and goodluck with the rebuild

If you end up looking at a Bay talk to Steve Muller from MUller and Muller Lakemba.02 97590504

He has a couple of those Channel 10 painted Bays which were featured in the Summer promotion for MacDonalds. Some are already painted and mechanically good as Channel 10 needed the reliability.
He lives at Annangrove, you may have seen them around from time to time.

Agree- More Splits on the road!

Love hearing about youngins being converted to VW. Fresh blood with wonderful imaginations to bring or love full circle and then onto another generation.
