I'm very confused about all the hype,
I've been a long time member of this forum and was a member of the original forum too. Melburg Luft was started because a few mates and I decided
we'd like a place where people who are into the style of cars we love could gather to talk shit and share their experiences.
After a few years we thought the forum had lost sight of what we'd set out to create, It had become Generic (for want of a better term) We then as a
group (the whole forum) made the decision to close the doors and delete the "0" post users as they hadn't contributed to the forum since joining.
Members were given at least a months notice that this would happen.
I'm not sure why any of this needs to be justified to anyone?? Our admin e-mail is out of order at present, so yes you may not have had a response,
for that I'm sorry. We except new members every week and are far from elitist, nor do we have "exclusive Jackets", our merchandise is available
for purchase at any Vic show.
If you'd like to join, come along to one of our monthly meets at Rancho Deluxe in Collingwood and introduce yourself they're held on the first
Saturday of every month.
Again I apologise, All we are trying to do is have more of a community feel to our forum, Just imagine if you could put a face to every name on here
wouldn't that be great.
I hope this will clear up any miss-understandings, if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to PM me,

Most forums are setting themselves up this way, not just Melburg Luft. It stops morons joining up who want to abuse and piss people off, it stops
spammers and people who join to sell things and rip members off.
Most people with half a brain will realise that someone doesn't get booted off a forum without a good reason. It's a top forum. Had a good laugh,
met some top people, bought some awesome stuff and got great advice. That's what a forum is all about without having to put up with people banging on
in a thread with a "poor me, bitch bitch" story. Give it up, move on and post something constructive... End of rant....

In my opinion,The Luft suits MY taste in cars,and it's a laugh to read some posts everyday.
What they don't want, as Miss Vdub mentioned, is people just joining to post shit for sale like half of the people do, or posting 5 times a year.
Theres here,or Gumtree, or Trading post to sell ya bits.
I'll also mention that I'm not Victorian,so The Luft isnt exclusive to that state,I live in Adelaide,Marion actually, and Reynella is where I grew

Please read the previous posts as to why MANY forums are going this way now, especially forums with less "administrators" to keep on top of people
