wakefield park


another great day 1st time in 3years it hasnt rained at wakefield park very cold and windy the new 1998 engine ran realy well after the new 1.35 rockers were fitted only slight mods to the fuel curve now has 119.9 hp at the wheels took 2 secs off my pb 1st in class 24th outrite 81 starters 1m11.7 car didnt miss abeat allday still a few mods left to do yet hoping for another 5 to 8hp peak power is now at 7300 torque has also improved right across the rev range looking forward to the next round at oran park gp 30 june

Wow Rudy, that peak power is at a very high rpm.
That means nice heads.
Was the cam a new one to suit the ratio rockers?

I just refreshed my memory with a quick look in VWMA.
Still FK87? That is a nice profile.
What sort of porting to the heads, I see they are 044's with 40x35...
any flow numbers?

Hi Rudy,

Well done on the time, no doubt it was fastest in your class? or is that MX5 back on track.

I was at Wakefield the day before for a Porsche Club Supersprint, it was freezing cold and the track was a little damp in the morning, but had a great day. The track was that cold I couldnt seem to get heat in the street tyres!

still fk87 now with 1.35 rockers heads are d portmatched to a pair of shorty manifolds i got of keith haeusler engine now making good power from 4000to7300 and will revto7800 ifyou needto stretch it through the ocasional long corner
