Keep cutting out!!!
Hi all! Of late, as I have been driving, Sometimes the car will just turn off as I am going along! Ive noticed that it is only when I turn my lights
on, and happens like once a week! for the past couple of weeks! I had a new generator fitted about 21/2 months ago and b4 that it never did it! Any
suggestions about what it could be? Ignition barrel maybe?
TY in advance! N!

Does it happen every time you turn your lights on? Does the engine restart with the momentum of the car or do you have to pull over?

Sounding like a dud generator or regulator.
Is your generator light coming on?
How is your battery?
Maybe a short in the battery. When you turn lights on you are drawing off battery not genny and she dies? :jesus

I'd like to see what a voltmeter accross the genny shows with lights off then lights on. It doesn't need much "juice" to keep the
warning light out.
New one on me & I'd love to hear the outcome & I hope it's not too expensive!

Have you changed your coil recently? Sounds like the coil is getting too hot after driving for awhile. Does it also stumble or backfire before
cutting out?

be good if you could attach a Volt meter to the battery even if just temporary (muti meter ) to see what is happening to the Voltage.

everything else was fine! IT doesnt splatter b4 cutting out, it just does it!
