Convert my late type 3 to a early front

hey guys

Has anyone ever converterd their late type 3 to a earlier model shape ie my 72 to a 69?

Can i just replace the guards and bonnet and weld in a new nose section or is it more then that?

Has anyone done any other mods to their front? fibreglass etc?

thanks

What you need to do is find yourself a early that has had a rearend smash that can't be repaired and do a front cut off it.
Might sound a bit scary but it can be done...Only problem you will have is finding an early in that condition......

You could always get the early guards, cut them in half and add the section in the middlel form your late model longer guards. Big bloody job. If you are only after the lights i.e. blinker look, just cut these section and weld onto your late model guards. Heaps easier.
