I just bought some German Sach super touring shocks for my 56 beetle. they are listed as the same front and rear in the Sach spec sheet. But the originals were different colours. Fronts were black, rears were like a red lead colour, I have seen factory photos that show this so in my mind they should be different. The car seems to handle fine. but I am also a bit sus on this one.

Look for a local Sach dealer in town, you should be able to order through them and save yourself the hassel of getting them from OS.
