How come people don't dare push in when you are lining up at the bank, supermarket, atm ect ect ? ,but put them in a car and they will not have a
second thought about it...Its like they are the only ones who want to get home.....
Also what happened to the give way to your right rule?
Keeping it real !

I tend to shock people on round-abouts.
As soon as I see a gap, I launch the Oval across the round-about before the mongrels get a chance to jump in front of me - - lucky I have good
brakes, and yes I'm a Bad driver,
but boy I sure suprise people in the Old Oval.

pull over. the guy beside you just slows down a bit you overtake and then back in your lane again. roundabouts!!! you give way on the roundabout to
trafic coming on at you, very bizza, but just great to drive in. no road rage. i get back to Oz and get yelled at for the first week coz i'm
constantly cutting people off. it's a great life eh!!! fish

I sh!* myself going onto the Eastern Freeway from the city end in peak hour sometimes. Drivers floor it and do all sorts of crazy things around me. If
I'm not in a brave mood I'll go on at Punt Road so don't have to make my way over to the left lane:jesus
Mind you I drive daily and am far from a Sunday driver but Bel can only reach 90:kiss
Don't find problems on normal roads.
Hmm, had an impatient 4wd towing a trailer nearly wipe me off on a country road when he over took me and cut in way too soon:o

There is a social stigma to being BEHIND a VW, particularly at highway speed.
Especially a Kombi.
Always has been, always will be.
Years ago, being overtaken by a VW was a good enough excuse to burn your car on the side of the road.
As for tailgaters, my curtains are permanently shut. Doesn't take em long to figure out I just cant see them.
On the bike I carry a couple of old spark plugs for just that event.
You'd be amazed how quick someone backs off when their windscreen shatters.......
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

Had some fools in a VN commodore ask me "how much did you pay your grandma for the car for the night" needless to say i absolutely destroyed
them once the lights went green, nothing like the sleeper factor...
I guess I spend more time on my mountain bike than in my dub as there's too many fools on the road whom take their licence for granted...and
don't even know how to turn their heads to look...:cuss |

Yes , drivers of ordinary vehicles give me the shits when they pull in front of your kombi, cause' they think your a pot smoking hippy with a top
speed of TOO SLOW! Well i'm on a mission to turbocharge every kombi in australia. Just to give a few TREVIES (v8 drivers) something to think
about! Look out for mailorder d.i.y. kits soon........

My favourite cruiser is definitley the Beetle. I cruise without the need to race, thrash, cut off or stress out. Unfortunatley every second other
driver treats me as a driver with less respect
The Kombi commands more respect, and I find people are more likley to let me in, and less likley to cut me off.
The EH, well that is easy I just give it a squirt and the supercharger and huge exhaust scare everyone away.
I have a BA Falcon as a company car, This is the most interesting of all. As there are current Police cars that are BA Falcons. There must always be a
element of doubt in some drivers minds.
A young girl fully pulled out in front of me as I was driving past a small shopping centre, and I flashed the headlights, so she put her indicator on
and was going to stop, like she was getting pulled over. I also see a few people when I come up next to them in the BA, put their brake lights on when
I am just in mirror view. They were going 65 in a 60 and then they drop to about 55.
Personally I think chill out is the new road rule of the Millenium. The 90's were all road rage, but that has to be put behind us. As the roads
clog up more and we spend more time in our cars, we have to allow ourselves to feel relaxed.

Hello?
What about the motherf#%&s in COMMOWHORES who tailgate you when there is clearly alot of space in the right lane to overtake you!? The thing is
you're not even going slow! You're going at the limit of limits, 69kph! But, if you want to get nasty, step on the brakes, and see what the
dumb ogre does then, just make sure you have your clublock ready at the lights in case they get agro.

Psssshhh!
Cheers

Your right on the money Hellbus, chill out has to be the new road rule for the new millenium.
Rush rush rush, all the rush in Melb is just to next red light, or traffic jam. So whats the point really.
Leave earlier I say and be considerate all we'll all get were we want to go.
Why do people see an old grey vw and try so hard to pass, pull out in front of or cut you off. When all I want is to legally use a liitle bit of the
road. And tailgating 4WD's are the absolute worst. How the hell they think they can see a VW ovals tails lights 3ft away thru a bullbar just
beats the shite out of me.
Feel better now. Ventings good.:P

I'm not sure that the commodore drivers are the main culprits anymore.
I'm finding the geese with the supra, or whatever, with a milo tin for a tailpipe are getting to be a far bigger pain in the arse than your
average holden driver.
The car may look quick &, in a straight line, may go quick. But when they hit Mooney Mooney or the Liverpool range, that's when you find out
that they are still a 4............
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

Don't know what your all talking about sorry. Please explain.
Mabey cause I'm rural, I live 2 mins from work or ignore most nutbags.
The real reason I think I have no probs is that The Dog-O-War looks to be worth $200, sounds wild, is a foot shorter each end and has pipes around the
motor.
Mr. Gloss paint job and Mrs straight panel see me coming and move aside - dunno why.
I'm gonna carry a couple of spark plugs now in case I meet anyone who dosen't.

All of us, drivers of quality german automobiles of style and character need to keep in mind that we dont actually know if the person who pulls in
front of us actually thinks we are pot smoking hippies in our Kombies or if they even think at all, in all these sort of scenarios it is purely our
interpretation of the events manifesting into our conclusions, quite often a projection of our own fears or opinions. however keep this in mind and
when in doubt repeat to yourself,
"Just because I am paranoid, it doesnt mean that everyone DOESNT think I am a pot smoking hippy in a kombie!"
Thus ends our session of amatuer psyhcology, and TRY to remember that smoking pot often brings short term memory loss and paranoia and Ill tell you
another thing, Smoking pot often brings short term memory loss, I know what youre thinking.......blah blah blah

How do you know what I;m thinking Herbie :o
Do you work for the government? They can do that you know.
I think what you are alluding to is 'Attribution Theory' - I'm not going to explain it, look it up as I'm not going to explain it
in detail but basically it's paranoid empathy crossed with domino theory.

I had some wanker in a Toyota Hiace Van nearly smash my Baja to Death once.
The thing that pissed me off the most, was that he was looking at me in his mirror as he was cutting me off and forcing me to stop. So I blew the Horn
and I got the finger response and a mouth full of abuse. So he got a Broken nose and 2 Black eyes and I got to spend 3 hours making a Statement when
the Cops came around to pick me up.
I never got Charged because he got out of the car first while swearing at me. |

All I can say is that I don't have any where near as much trouble with other drivers being inconsiderate when I am driving the baby 4WD with a
big bull bar. (it is a Suzuki Sierra, it wants to be a Landcruiser when it grows up!)

A couple of years ago I had a guy in a hiace van try to intimidate me by tail gating and flashing his lights so I courteously checked his brakes by
applying mine very firmly in my 4 wheel power assisted disc braked Mazda {with a big towbar } which then encouraged the Van driver to shit himself profusely hitting the back of my car and then locking his brakes and
I then released mine tearing off his front bumper with my towball, I did give him the oportunity to pull over and get the crap kicked out of him but
he declined instead opting to just drive away with his bumper bar draging on the ground making sparks as he went reflecting no doubt about which
course of action he may choose to take next time he is in a similar situation. it left little more than a small rub mark on my car and it felt sooooo
good to serve him such a well deserved treat.

wells howz about ridin a bike on todayz roadz????????
to every action - there is a reaction
But I looooove driving sloooow in my fasty at times (say on a 3 lane Hwy), often enough the traffic slows down with you! Sometimes someone might
actually look at his speedo and go "shit.... I'm 3kph bellow the limit" then floors it, so the race is on and the sheep follow.
