i think that later beetle had indicator within the headlight? is that true? if yeas will they fit my 1969?
if not i know they are some around but what are they and where can i find them?
i want to customise my headlights to hid with proper projectors and angel lights. i liike the idea of the turn signal being within the headlight assembly aswell.

none of them had indicators in the headlights.
they are either on top of the fender, or in the bumper.

problem with fitting them in the headlights, is when the lights are on, especially with some as bright as HID's, you cant see the indicator flashing...
You can use 356 style in 67 and earlier beetles, and fit indicators to them, but not in the 12v 68 on style headlights...

Are they the large blinkers on the front guards..??

I have parking lamps inside My normal blinkers on My front guards... they are only 1.2w bulbs...
they are turned on with seperate switch....

I also have 10W Quartz halogen parkers in My H4
Hella semi sealed beams...
they are very bright at night...

I had parkers in the amber blinker units on a 1971 type 3 i had many years ago...
